Here on our SMASHCAST website we have a number of interesting podcasts regarding science and outer space; "Red Red Alien Rover" by Carlo ft. Mini and Richard explains quite a bit about some outer space phenomena including aliens and unusual "red rain". The SMASHCAST team felt they wanted to incorporate more about space and its wonders into our site; this podcast was the perfect opportunity to do so.

This podcast was inspired by an Astronaut Luncheon that I, and a few other SMASH students, attended in Berkley on January 13th. Bravo and I highlighted some main points about Near Earth Objects (NEOs); NEOs include meteors and asteroids that could possibly hit Earth and cause severe damage. There was debate about which methods of deflection were more effective and who should “step up to the plate” in regards of funding etc. for these projects of detection and deflection.

Being my first podcast, I was very nervous to partake in the process; I was worried the process would be long, stressful and difficult. Surprisingly…it was. Thankfully, Bravo is a Podcasting Guru; thus guiding me through the entire process with more ease.
