My school has a poor administration; problems/issues are not met on time and feedback takes a while, if any is given back. I feel any school is responsible for meetings a student’s needs, or at least give some sort of feedback in a positive manner. In order to fix this problem in my school, I will talk to the administration as well as students to find ways to get back to students in a proper efficient manner.

A few weeks ago at Smashcast we watched a documentary called Waiting for Superman. Waiting for Superman is a documentary about the ineffectiveness of the public school system, focusing on public schools in Washington D.C.
On April 1, 2011, I had the opportunity to attend the first annual STEMposium hosted at the California Academy of Sciences. This is an event where educators, students and non-profit leaders are sharing their innovative methods of teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields to children and young adults. Smashcast had an opportunity to meet 955 Dreams, a mobile app development company, to test out their new History of Jazz app for the Apple iPad. Their experience with this app provided an interactive lesson on Jazz History, Black History, and iPad app development. Check out the video showing highlights from their day!

More and more schools are attempting to incorporate current technology into their curriculum. One new device that schools are trying to bring into their classrooms are iPads. Schools are doing so with the hope that iPads will bring innovative and interactive aspects to the classroom.
Imagine darkness. Nothing- not even a star- lighting the world around you. You cannot travel. You cannot cook. You cannot see your hand, straight in front of you, much less anything else. In such conditions, how can one expect to do simple things, such as study?
The Green Screen is putting out their message to the world. Their PSA video talks about how children have a higher risk of asthma when exposed to pesticides. The video starts of with calming music and a solid intro of their names. Afterwords, we’re informed about the relationship between asthma and pesticides.
