Estefania lives in Redwood City and is currently is a junior at Menlo School. She views her life as a cake with the main ingredients being her family, her heritage, friends, softball and school. The icing on the cake is usually art, but there are always sprinkles decorating such as helping out the community, random sports, awesome summer programs (SMASH) and many more colorful adventures. Her principle of life is to dip her feet into every side of the pool of life and when she finds the side she likes, she will dive in head first. Applying this to technology, she will experiment with everything until she finds what she likes and hopefully is good at. Through her media projects she hopes to put a mirror in front of the world and show it how much it is changing, whether it be for the good or for the bad.

Some people claim that racism in the U.S. hasĀ  dissolved over time, but recently it has come to our attention that there are still marks of racism being imprinted in our nation’s history. Up until last year, Charleston High School in Mississippi had been having two separate proms: the “white” prom and the “black” prom. In the movie “Prom Night in Mississippi” Paul Saltzman tells the story of how home town-native Morgan Freeman offers to pay for their 2008 prom, as long as it was a single-integrated prom.
